On 16 June 2025 at the Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB), Verysell AI had the opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking and forward-looking discussion with a group of professors, researchers, and academic leaders. This session was joined by Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Ca, Vice Dean of Faculty of Non-Traditional Security, hosted by Dr. Ta Quang Dai and their faculty members.
Representing Verysell AI were Shaoyu Wong (CEO), Nguyen Huy Toan (CTO), Nguyen Ngoc Ha (Marketing Manager), and Eugene (Business Development Manager). The exchange served not only as a platform for knowledge-sharing but also as a meaningful exploration of partnership opportunities aimed at advancing AI innovation in Vietnam.

Exploring the AI Journey – A Collaborative Inquiry
The dialogue began with Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Ca posing a critical question: “Can a company approach Verysell AI at any point in their AI journey?”. Our CEO, Shaoyu affirmed that Verysell AI works with clients across the entire AI maturity curve, particularly excelling at the early exploratory stage, where businesses are eager to leverage AI but unsure where to start or how to connect it to tangible business value. This foundational approach resonated with HSB, which expressed special interest in how early-stage AI engagement could be introduced to Vietnamese enterprises.
Sector-Specific Applications: Banking, Agriculture, Manufacturing
In response to further inquiries from Prof. Tran Ngoc Ca, our representatives detailed Verysell AI’s work across multiple domains:
- Banking and Finance: Shaoyu highlighted a case with Dubai-based financial services company expanding into Africa. He also illustrated AI solutions particularly in risk scoring and intelligent automation.
- Agriculture: Leveraging computer vision, Verysell AI has assisted multinational firms like Dole in assessing fruit quality. The discussion also touched upon broader sustainability initiatives linked to the Green Climate Fund.
- Manufacturing: Toan emphasized a “problem-first” methodology where the team identifies bottlenecks or inefficiencies such as the replacement of expensive hardware sensors and develops proof-of-concept (PoC) models that can scale into full-fledged AI implementations.

Real-World Use Cases from HSB
Not only shared from our CEO and CTO, Dr. Ta Quang Dai introduced HSB’s research focus areas, grouped into three strategic pillars: economics, societal, and environmental.
The use cases span across several critical domains. From an economic perspective, AI plays a significant role in finance and cybersecurity, driving innovations that enhance financial management, improve security protocols, and reduce fraud. On the societal front, AI is making strides in addressing key challenges like food security, health, and community development, contributing to more sustainable practices and better living conditions. Finally, from an environmental standpoint, AI is being applied to monitor ecosystems and combat climate change, enabling data-driven strategies for conservation and resource management.

Compelling use cases for AI were presented, showcasing its diverse potential across various sectors. One highlighted the use of AI for crop health classification through satellite imagery, enabling farmers to monitor and manage their crops more efficiently. Another focused on the protection of intellectual property, leveraging AI to safeguard sensitive data from being compromised through cloud and large language model (LLM) leaks.
In the education sector, AI cameras were introduced as a tool to enhance student-teacher interaction and improve academic performance. Additionally, cost-effective AI solutions tailored for SMEs were showcased, offering smaller businesses the opportunity to leverage AI for operational efficiency without breaking the bank.

Toward a Collaborative Future
One of the most promising outcomes of the meeting was HSB’s expressed interest in becoming an AI incubator. This initiative aims to facilitate student involvement in real-world Verysell AI projects, providing them with hands-on experience in AI applications.

Additionally, HSB is eager to connect Verysell AI with Vietnamese businesses in need of AI solutions, fostering collaboration across industries. The partnership also opens the door for joint research and use cases development, particularly in areas such as urban planning, climate modeling, and public service optimization, further strengthening the AI ecosystem in Vietnam.
