30th Anniversary Celebration
As a visitor, we had a chance to join various activities from 08:00 to 11:00AM on 13 July 2025. And the most memorable and meaningful part is the speech of the Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Conferment of the Labour Order, Certificates of Merit, and other Awards.
On the 30th anniversary, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Son Hoang Minh affirmed: The School of Management and Business is a distinctive educational institution within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi system, pioneering in innovating governance models and implementing university autonomy since its inception.

Besides, it has not only made its mark in the field of business administration education but has also strongly developed interdisciplinary programs, particularly in sustainable development management and non-traditional security in the current context.
Following the remarks from the Deputy Ministry of Education and Training, Associate Professor Dr. Hieu Nguyen, Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, also emphasized the distinctive characteristics of its within the VNU system. According to him, it has demonstrated strategic vision by developing its own academic schools of thought and closely integrating research with practical management, thereby contributing to the policy-making process at both national and local levels. The school has also trained and fostered thousands of leaders and managers from central to local government, while proactively expanding international cooperation with many reputable organizations around the world.

HSB, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam.
This prestigious award recognizes its outstanding contributions over the past 30 years in advancing high-quality education, fostering innovation in university governance, and nurturing a generation of leaders for Vietnam’s socio-economic development. The medal is also a testament to the school’s achievements in expanding interdisciplinary programs and strengthening international cooperation in line with national priorities.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Son Hoang Minh, under the authority of the Prime Minister, presented Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to three individuals for their outstanding contributions to education and national service.
The honorees were: Associate Professor Dr. Phi Hoang Dinh – Rector of HSB; Lieutenant General, Professor Yem Nguyen Xuan – Director of the Institute for Non-Traditional Security Studies, HSB; and Associate Professor Dr. Thang Nguyen Ngoc – Vice Rector of HSB.
