Just six years ago, artificial intelligence was a subject primarily confined to computer science classrooms in universities. Fast forward to today, and AI has become an integral part of almost every academic discipline. This positive shift in educational institutions is a testament to the growing recognition of AI’s transformative potential.

At Verysell Applied AI Lab, we’ve been at the forefront of this AI revolution. Our experts, Dr. Soan Duong and Huy Ta, have been actively involved in nurturing the next generation of AI talent. For the past three months, they’ve been mentoring teams at Swinburne University of Technology’s AI Hackathon 2024.

This year’s hackathon is centered around the theme of using AI to address real-world challenges in business, media, and education. Participants will be tasked with developing innovative AI solutions within a 24-hour coding marathon.

While the prospect of creating a complex AI solution in just one day might seem daunting, we’re confident in the abilities of the participating teams. We’re excited to see what creative and groundbreaking ideas they come up with.

As we cheer on these aspiring AI developers, we also want to acknowledge the broader implications of this hackathon. It’s a testament to the growing momentum behind AI education and the increasing number of universities recognizing its importance.

We look forward to learning about the AI solutions developed during this hackathon and celebrating the future of AI and the next generation of AI-ready students.
